# How nudges work

## When a nudge comes

During a session, a nudge comes when your head stays tilted past your **nudge angle** for 20 seconds. If you stay slouched after a nudge, the next one comes a minute later. Sit back up and the clock resets.

Nudges only happen during a session.

## Make nudges stricter or more relaxed

Go to **Settings** › **Nudge sensitivity** and move the slider between 10° and 30°:

- **Strict** (below 14°): nudges at the first sign of leaning in.
- **Balanced** (14° to 20°): a good place for most people to start. The default is 15°.
- **Relaxed** (21° and up): only nudges for a clear forward slouch.

## Sounds and haptics

Choose a sound in **Settings** › **Nudge sound**. Tap a sound to hear it. With AirPods in, nudges play softly in your ears and lower any music for a moment.

The Soft Chime is included for everyone. Glass Bell, Low Breeze and Droplet come with Posture Plus+. Choose **None** for silent nudges.

Turn the light tap on or off with **Settings** › **Haptics**.

## Quiet hours

Turn on **Settings** › **Quiet hours** and choose a start and end time. During quiet hours there are no sounds or haptics, but sessions still track your posture.

## About the neck load figure

The estimated neck load on Home comes from a commonly cited model of how heavy your head feels to your neck at different angles: roughly 12 kg at just 15° forward. It's an estimate, and your own body may differ. Posture Plus is a wellness and awareness tool, not a medical device.
